Classic and Contemporary Bridal Photography at Sheraton Gunter Hotel for Adriana

Classic, Contemporary, Goofy, Angelic (I can hear you laughing from here, Adriana) :) The Sheraton Gunter Hotel in San Antonio was the perfect setting for this Bridal Photography session. Some would wonder how Classic and Contemporary Photography can fit together. Adriana wanted both for her Bridal Photographs. I say, just great, thank you. Especially when the elements come together. A Classic bride with a Contemporary attitude. A Classic gown with Contemporary shoes. A Classic venue with Contemporary lighting. A Classic pose with a Contemporary pose. Adriana has a wonderful sense of humor, check out the gym photos at the end of the blog. She also posed like a pro and is such a pleasure to photograph. We had a blast photographing Adriana and Santiago’s engagement photo session around town in San Antonio the night before. Check it out here, if you haven’t seen them. Come back next week to see their fun, fabulous San Antonio Wedding Photography!

Modern Austin Engagement Photography for Karissa and Mike

The Hyatt Hotel Downtown Austin was our first stop for this modern couple. Karissa and Mike used to work there together so we thought it was appropriate. Austin runs in their blood so the Congress Street Bridge was our final stop. Karissa and Mike are simply two of the coolest, sweetest couples we have met. Check out their wedding photography at Mayfield Park in a couple of weeks. You will be happy that you did :)

A Classic, Eco-Friendly Wedding at Mercury Hall for Laura and John

Mercury Hall in Austin was the PERFECT venue for this classic wedding. Gorgeous outdoor gardens, beautiful stained glass windows, a lovely bride and groom, what more could a wedding photographer ask for? Laura and John were planning their eco-friendly wedding at Mercury Hall from California and hired us at Cho Photography without ever meeting with us. We are so happy that they did.  This was a truly fabulous wedding to photograph. Whole Foods catered and they encouraged their guests to plant trees by giving them Ponderosa Pines as a wedding favor.

Yes, that is the ladies bathroom stall and the sign does say “Mother of the Bride Suite”. LOVE IT!

Pine Trees! These are the coolest guest gifts we have seen so far. What a great way to give to your guests and the environment at the same time!

Can you find the Trekkies?

Adriana and Santiago’s San Antonio Engagement Photography

San Antonio is a place rich with history, ancient architecture and… ghost stories! It was the perfect city to shoot Adriana and Santiago’s engagement photography. Occasionally, a couple comes along who are so lovely and so interesting, you just want to get to know them better. Santiago is a preacher man and Adriana is studying to be in the ministry, too. They share a passion for travel, history and ghost stories. For History Channel addicts like Sae and I, it was a great pleasure to hear their stories. As we tripped around on this rainy San Antonio day they regaled us with ghost stories from the historic places we visited. One such story Adriana told us was of a little girl who fell down a well and was buried in the wall of one of the places we visited. And that is when IT happened. We took pictures of both the well and the shrine to the little girl. When we looked at the pictures, we caught a glimpse of the spirit of the little girl hovering in her sacred place. Check out the second to last pictures in this blog. These photos are shot in RAW and are unprocessed, straight from the camera.

Come back to see pictures from Adriana and Santiago’s San Antonio wedding. It was an honor and a joy to photograph.

This is the sign above the well…

So, I told you Santiago is a preacher. Yes, Adriana is pretending to be asleep in the pew. These two have a wicked sense of humor!

Ok, so here is the ghost shot. They are standing in front of the shrine to the little girl who is buried in the wall behind them. These two were taken within seconds of eachother and nothing was changed in the camera. You can decide for yourself what you see…

A Fairytale Wedding at Laguna Gloria for Jenny Star and Adam Shackleton

Laguna Gloria was the perfect backdrop for Jenny and Adam’s fairytale wedding. This gorgeous bride and handsome groom love everything Disney and Britney. It was an animated and brightly colored wedding befitting a happily ever after story.
